The name 'A Place of Hope Africa' is the exact description of who we are, and what God has called us to do. Our mission is to bring the hope of Jesus Christ, care for the orphans and the vulnerable children of Nigeria, and to preach the gospel to the community and village of Nsukka-Opi in Enugu State.
A Place of Hope Africa started in 2007 when the first three children arrived at their new forever home, and the love continues today. Our family has grown to over 90 children with ages ranging from newborns to multiple students in University. Every day they truly have a place to call home. We are a family. Our missionaries, Pastor Walt & Karen are Mom & Dad, and they just happen to have over 90 children.
Along with caring for the orphanage, A Place of Hope Africa has planted two churches and operates a Primary Christian School within the village of Opi in Enugu State.
Our Purpose: caring for the orphans, bringing the truth of the gospel, and raising these children to be the next generation of Godly Men and Women in Nigeria.
